The main deities and lineage of the Gelugpa sect are presented here in the form of a tree, with the sect’s founder Tsong Khapa prominently featured at the apex. He wears the yellow hat that distinguishes this order of Tibetan Buddhism and holds in his hands an alms bowl and lotus. Below Tsong Khapa, a host of Buddhas, saints and guardian deities comprise the tree, while seated in the clouds above are various monks and adepts.
