Professional Development for Teachers: War and Peace, Part 3

Join Johnson Museum of Art educators Maryterese Pasquale-Bowen and Carol Hockett for our fall professional development series focused on the theme of war and peace.

At this third session, we will focus on the American Civil War. Drawing upon the permanent collection, including works by Alexander Gardiner and Winslow Homer, we will explore imagery of the tension and turbulence. Teachers of all disciplines and grade levels are welcome!

A Zoom version of each workshop will be offered from 4–5PM. Teachers and other professionals can choose to attend the same workshop in person at the Museum from 5:15–6:15PM, with the opportunity to see the art in an intimate setting. Free parking at the Museum is available at that time.
