The actions of British American colonists in 1776 reflected both the world around and reverberated for centuries to come. Join Johnson Museum educators and guest speakers as we spend the day immersed in art, literature, and music, exploring themes of liberty, slavery, democracy, war, global economy, empire, and culture.  A light lunch will be included.

Our speakers will include Kate Sullivan of Monument Lab, Laurent Ferri of the Rare and Manuscript Collections at Cornell Library, Robert Travers of Cornell’s Department of History, and Patricia Garcia Gil of the Cornell Center for Historical Keyboards.
