Join local fiber artist Saundra Goodman in this creative workshop centered on all things textile! You will learn about various fibers like banana silk, hemp, cotton, and wool, then try your hand at carding and spinning. Learn to finger weave and crochet, and create your own textile piece. No experience required!
Space is limited; please email eas8@cornell.edu to reserve your place. (Please note that the second session is for Cornell students only.)
This workshop is part of the Johnson Museum’s Art and Wellness series, made possible by a generous member of the Museum’s Advisory Council. Our program provides opportunities for community members to explore hands-on, artistic self-expression and learn new skills in a friendly environment.
This workshop was made possible in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
