Wayang Plastik is a new collaborative work drawing upon Javanese and Balinese traditions of music and shadow puppetry, evoking the Queen of the South Sea, and addressing the scourge of plastic waste.
Featuring Javanese vocalist and composer Peni Candra Rini and multidisciplinary artist I Gusti Sudarta, this performance is open to the public and part of the two-day symposium Sea-ing Indonesia, organized by the Southeast Asia Program.
