Join Johnson Museum of Art educators Maryterese Pasquale-Bowen and Carol Hockett for our continuing professional development series focused on the theme of war and peace. Teachers of all disciplines and grade levels are welcome!
In this session we will explore Japanese art from the Edo period, from the lives of the Samurai warrior class to the urban pleasures seen in peaceful ukiyo-e prints, or “pictures of the floating world.”
Free registration with credit is through TST BOCES Frontline. For more information or to sign up, email Carol Hockett at cih2@cornell.edu.
A Zoom version of each workshop will be offered from 4–5PM. Teachers and other professionals can choose to attend the same workshop in person at the Museum from 5:15–6:15PM, with the opportunity to see the art in an intimate setting. Free parking at the Museum is available at that time.
