The Rasikapriya (Lovers’ Breviary) is a Hindi treatise by Keshavadas that classifies lovers according to scenes involving Radha and Krishna. In this scene Radha asks Krishna to tell her stories and as he does so the name of another woman escapes his lips. Upon hearing it, Radha turns away and begins to cry.Distinctive features of the Mughal-influenced Bundi style are apparent here in the rich, brilliant colors and faces shown in full profile, while the bodies of the figures are shown in three-quarter view.
