To decorate the interior surface of this bowl, unfired clay was pressed against a mold carved with the design. This type of impressed design is very similar to those found on celadon wares from the Yaozhou kiln of the Song dynasty in China. This bowl reveals the exchanges between Goryeo celadon and Song ceramics around the first half of the twelfth century.
