Moses is understood to be the most significant prophet in Judaism according to the influential twelfth-century Jewish scholar Maimonides. He is also a central figure to other Abrahamic religions such as Christianity, Islam, the Druze faith, and the Bahá’í Faith. Moses led the Jewish people out of enslavement in Egypt in the story of Passover, received the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai, and guided the Jewish people toward the Promised Land. —Rayna Klugherz ’23
