A characteristic Borana wooden camel bell based in form on Islamic brass protypes, this work has a lightly eroded surface from wind-blown sand. The Borana are a pastoral people, and much of their material culture is made for or based upon the form of their herds. The work is in excellent condition, retaining its twisted fiber neck cord and both wooden clappers.
