In the Bartels Gallery, Floor 1L
This exhibition will display a selection of American quilts from the permanent collection, including a recent gift from Peggy Dunlop, Class of 1959, MS 1963. Historical and contemporary works highlight the significance of these textiles for quilters and descendants, as an avenue for personal creativity and identity.
This exhibition was curated by Hugo C. Ikehara-Tsukayama, Harris Family Curator of the Arts of the Americas, and supported in part by an endowment in memory of Elizabeth Miller Francis ’47.
