Naples: Course of Empire is a series of seven panoramic paintings by artist Alexis Rockman that examines the long and fraught relationship between human civilization and the natural world. On view now through June 7, the exhibition intersects the science of climate change with the visual language of art.
In conjunction with the exhibition, Rockman will be in conversation with Anna Davidson, Senior Research Associate/Lecturer in the Natural Resources and the Environment Section, College of Agriculture and Life Science. The talk will also be live streamed (click here to join the webinar).
All are encouraged to visit the exhibition (in the wing and Opatrny Galleries on Floor 2L) prior to the program. The exhibition will also be open after the program during a public reception, free and open to all.
This program is supported in part by the Findley Lecture Endowment.
