Please note that we are not scheduling guided group tours or workshops for the general public at this time.

School Groups

We welcome pre-K-12 classes to the Museum for gallery and studio instruction. Consistent with NYS P-12 guidance, we encourage participants to “Stay Home When Sick.” Consistent with Cornell policy, masks are required of students, teachers, and any chaperones for gallery and studio instruction sessions. (Updated April 6, 2022)

Visit our Schools & Teachers page for detailed information on current virtual programs for pre-K–12 groups.

Cornell Students

Free tours are available for any Cornell student group—organizations, residence halls, sororities and fraternities, or even a group of friends.

We request a minimum of 5 students and a maximum of 15 per group. Two weeks' notice is required to get on our schedule.

Tours may involve a look at some of the highlights of the Museum's collections, or a closer look at any theme that interests your group. We'll work with you to develop a tour that fits your needs and interests.

Hands-on workshops can be scheduled for groups with a minimum of 5 students. Depending on the workshop, there should be a maximum of 8-15 per group and a $4 materials fee per person. All workshops begin with a short tour of related objects in our collection. We can work in watercolor, acrylic, ink, and charcoal. Popular topics include alternative photography, printmaking, and sculptures.

Email Annmarie Ventura for information about scheduling student tours.

Special Needs

Tours for people with hearing impairments are available with advance notice, as are tours conducted in foreign languages.
