Museum Internships

Work with Us
The Johnson Museum offers internships in all departments to rising Cornell sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled for the full academic year.
All majors are encouraged to apply. Prior museum experience is not required; coursework in art history is useful and preferred for curatorial and education positions. Students who anticipate having heavy course loads should not apply since interns are expected to keep regular hours. Federal Work Study applicants are strongly preferred but not required.
The Johnson Museum of Art values the power of different perspectives to expand and deepen our understanding of art and society. The Museum is an inclusive space and we seek candidates who will contribute to an environment that supports students, faculty, and staff of all identities and backgrounds.
The positions pay $14.20 per hour; 10 hours per week maximum. Email museum@cornell.edu with any questions.
Summer Opportunity!
Work at the Museum this summer as a Security and Visitor Services intern. Read the full position description on the Cornell Student Job and Internship posting or contact Holly Fairlie-Smith with questions. Applications will be accepted until the number of available positions are filled.
