Faculty in Cornell’s Department of Art are invited to exhibit work at the Johnson every few years, providing an opportunity for both the university community and the broader public to reflect on the relationship between education and practice. Cornell’s art faculty are deeply engaged in studio-based teaching and strive to develop students into confident and independent artists in their own right.
Work by Nidaa Aboulhosn, Michael Ashkin, Roberto Bertoia, Leslie Brack, Oscar Rene Cornejo, Jen Delos Reyes, Julianne Hunter, Paul Ramírez Jonas, Carla Liesching, Joanna Malinowska, Leeza Meksin, Elisabeth Haly Meyer, Carl Ostendarp, Maria Park, Jolene Rickard, Emilio Rojas, Dan Torop, and Paulina Velázquez Solís will be on view. Each artist selected a work from the Museum’s permanent collection to pair with their contribution.
This exhibition was organized by Annie Abernathy, curatorial assistant at the Johnson Museum.
