Join us in celebrating Shahpour Pouyan: Winter in Paradise with special tours and activities exploring the three unique installations in the exhibition, free and open to all.
In the Robinson Lecture Hall, explore the creative possibilities of virtual reality in a hands-on demonstration facilitated by Cornell’s Center for Teaching Innovation and the Cornell XR Club. Visitors are invited to experience Poyuan’s immersive virtual reality work Winter in Paradise throughout the event.
Student educators will offer spotlight tours highlighting the artist’s drawings and ceramic sculptures in the wing gallery. In the Cox Studio, drop in to take inspiration from Pouyan’s ceramics and experiment with air-drying clay.
This program and the related exhibition were developed in conjunction with the Migrations Global Grand Challenge, part of Global Cornell, with support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation’s Just Futures Initiative. This event is also the November installment of our ongoing Teen Studio workshop series. Middle and high school students are especially welcome, as well as the general public.
