Horizontal Cosmology is on view as part of the exhibition Precious Okoyomon: The Sky Measures Little. Conceived together with the nearby earthwork Theory of a Curve, Okoyomon’s participatory artwork presents a “library for pollination,” filled with poetry, cultural theory, and books on animal and plant species that have influenced Okoyomon’s thinking.
At this free drop-in program, visitors are invited to cozy up with a cup of herbal tea and read! The tea is brewed from a custom blend, commissioned by the artist, of leaves and flowers featured in Theory of a Curve. (Seating is limited and first-come, first-served.)
Precious Okoyomon: The Sky Measures Little and its accompanying programs were developed in conjunction with the Migrations Global Grand Challenge, part of Global Cornell, with support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation’s Just Futures Initiative.
Additional tea service programs will be offered on November 1 and November 21.
