The exhibition Free as they want to be: Artists Committed to Memory is inspired by historical events, featuring contemporary artists whose work honors and contemplates the ongoing fight for freedom and equality in Black America. At this tour and discussion of the exhibition especially designed for Social Studies, ELA, art, and classroom teachers, Johnson Museum of Art educators Carol Hockett and Maryterese Pasquale-Bowen will focus on strategies for connecting its themes to the classroom.
