Take a break from taking notes and learn how to bind a book of your own! Join Mia Vienne Brown-Seguin, BFA ’24, and Museum educator Wendy Kenigsberg for a creative afternoon of wellness as we fold, bind, and stitch pocket-sized accordion books, Japanese stab-bound journals, and maybe even a mutant book or two. We’ll use rice paper, waxed-linen thread, brown paper bags, silk-screened papers, buttons, and beads. Most of all, we’ll have fun experimenting in the Museum’s Cox Studio.
Space is limited; email eas8@cornell.edu to register.
This workshop is part of the Johnson Museum’s Student Art and Wellness series, made possible by a generous member of the Museum’s Advisory Council. Our year-long program offers Cornell students opportunities to enhance well-being through artistic self-expression; learn new, hands-on creative skills in a friendly environment, and find community outside of the classroom.
