Join an artist featured in the special exhibition Here & Now: Artists of Central New York for a brief gallery talk followed by a hands-on art-making workshop inspired by their creative practice.
In this workshop, Deale Hutton will explain her process of creating wax casts of tree bark damaged by emerald ash borers. Participants will receive their own wax cast and paint the intricate designs left behind by these invasive beetles.
This workshop is beginner-friendly but limited to participants age 14 and older.
Made possible in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
