Anastasia Samoylova will discuss her work, on view in the exhibition Atlantic Coast, in conversation with Molly Kalkstein, the Gary and Ellen Davis Curator of Photography at the Johnson Museum.
Atlantic Coast is a new body of work in which Samoylova traces the complexities of American identity through photographic journey from Florida to Maine, inspired by Berenice Abbott’s 1954 project documenting the historic US Route 1.
All are encouraged to visit the exhibition in the Bartels Gallery on Floor 1L prior to the talk, which will also be live streamed. The exhibition will also be open after the program during a public reception, free and open to all.
This program is supported through a generous gift from the Hinsta Family and in part by the Findlay Lecture Endowment.
