The Johnson Museum offers students many opportunities to discover and explore the collection. Whether you’re looking for cutting-edge contemporary art or ancient pre-Columbian pottery, a space to relax, the chance to make some artwork of your own, or an internship or volunteer opportunity, you belong in the Johnson. Explore the many images of artwork in the Johnson’s collection online at emuseum.cornell.edu or watch this video for tips on conducting your own research.

Custom Tours and Workshops

What’s engaging, fun, and a great way to relieve stress? A special tour or workshop at the Museum! We offer tours and hands-on workshops tailored to the interests of student clubs, fraternities and sororities, and groups from residence halls.

Tours are free; workshops cost $4 per person for materials. We request a minimum of 5 students and a maximum of 15 per group. Two weeks’ notice is required to get on our schedule.

Internships

Student interns work in all departments throughout the Museum. Cornell sophomores, juniors, and seniors are hired for paid academic-year positions (work-study applicants strongly preferred). Open positions are announced during spring semester, and applications are made available online.
