Kids and families are invited to create their own imaginary adventure maps! Join educators from the Johnson Museum at the Tompkins County Public Library to explore a variety of maps, charts, and atlases, as well as artworks inspired by these materials. We’ll discover how both artists and mapmakers use colors, patterns, and shapes to tell stories.

Participants will make their own adventure maps by repurposing a variety of amazing recycled maps and charts. These materials will be the basis for a collage, which we’ll add to using a variety of media and methods.
