Join us for our discussion of Songbirds, Truffles, and Wolves: An American Naturalist in Italy (1994), in which author Gary Paul Nabhan reflects on plants, animals, people, and life as he hikes a two-hundred-mile stretch of the path walked by St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology.

Nabhan, an ecologist from the North American Southwest, is a recipient of a John Burroughs Medal for distinguished writing in the field of natural history and a MacArthur Fellowship, also known as the “genius grant.”
