Museum admission is always free!

The Museum has two entrances:

Visitors can use either entrance.

The main entrance is at the larger building, under the banners, and leads to the ground level Appel Lobby. Enter here during regular hours.

The wing lobby is across from our metered parking lot, and leads to the Gussman Entrance Hall. Enter here during regular hours and especially for programs that begin after 5 PM

The Museum has five gallery floors:

Floor 5 (main entrance): Asian art, plus spectacular views of Ithaca and Cayuga Lake

Floors 1 & 2 (main entrance): European and American art

Floor 1L (main entrance): current exhibition (Bartels Gallery)

Floor 2L (below the lobby): Visible storage, current exhibitions (Gold, Moak, Class of 1953, and Schaenen Galleries), and the Citrin Photography Center. Floor 2L connects directly to the wing.

Restrooms are available on Floor 2L (with baby-changing tables) and the basement level of the wing.

In the Appel Lobby (main entrance), bottled water is available free of charge. A Keurig brewer provides a variety of hot drinks (coffee, tea, and hot chocolate) for $1.00. Water fountains are on Floors 2 and 2L in the main building, and on the basement level of the wing.

Food and drink, backpacks, large bags, and umbrellas are not allowed in the galleries and must be left in either lobby. Coat rooms and storage cubbies are available.

The Wing

Floor 2L connects the wing to the main building. In addition to a separate entrance, the wing's main public floor features a lecture room, the Cox Studio, and gallery spaces for exhibitions.

Events After 5 PM

For events and programs that begin after 5 PM, or any that are taking place in the wing's lecture room, visitors should enter through the wing rather than the main building.

For events after 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays, visitors can also park at any Cornell parking garage. Always check posted signage before parking for available hours and restrictions!
