Johnson Museum Club Cornell University

Museum Club

The Museum Club meets on Tuesdays 4:30–5:00 PM in the Museum's main lobby during the academic year. New members are always welcome! We are students who share an interest in and appreciation for museums and art, and promote student awareness of the Museum's vast collections, exhibitions, and resources. We organize and host programs and special events that give students the opportunity to visit the Museum during informal and social settings.

We present events "For Students Only" every semester featuring live music, student performances, art activities, scavenger hunts, food, and, of course, art! Our evening events create a social environment in which students can explore the Museum at their own leisure after hours. We also collaborate with other student groups on campus to host events featuring music, poetry, and other performing arts.

Student Educators: Art & the Museum (SEAM)

This group of students share a passion and appreciation for art, art history, and arts education and use the Johnson Museum as a resource to learn about educational approaches to the collection. SEAM members act as bridges between the campus, community, and the Museum, share their knowledge through tours and outreach, including support of existing Museum education programming and creating new programs.
