Student Wellness Workshop: Landscape Painting
This workshop offers the opportunity to create your own landscape painting inspired by the work of Alexis Rockman, whose large-scale landscape paintings in the exhibition Naples: Course of Empire touch on themes of humanity and the environment. Local artist Yen Ospina will guide participants through the creative process, focusing on design elements like color theory and perspective, while leaving space for individual expression.
This workshop is limited to Cornell students only. Space is limited; email eas8@cornell.edu to register.
This workshop is part of the Johnson Museum’s Art and Wellness series, made possible by a generous member of the Museum’s Advisory Council. Through art-making, participants can develop mindfulness skills to reduce stress and bolster their mental well-being.
