Directions & Parking

Parking

There is a metered lot next to the Museum. These meters only take quarters, and there is a three-hour limit on weekdays before 5:00 p.m. Visitors parking in the metered Museum lot MUST register at either Museum desk (through the main entrance or the wing) and sign out when they leave. Parking tickets are common at Cornell!

For Museum events after 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays, visitors can also park at ANY Cornell parking garage. The closest is the Martha Van Rensselaer Hall parking garage off Forest Home Drive, about a five-minute walk east of the Museum.

Visitor permits and campus information are available at the Cornell parking booths located near the main campus entrances. Parking on campus is permit restricted. Please observe all posted signs carefully when parking.

For more information about parking at Cornell, please visit the Commuter and Parking Services website.

By car

From Route 79, turn on Stewart Avenue. Turn right at University Avenue and go up the hill to the Museum. Turn right into the metered parking lot.

Visit Cornell's page for complete directions on getting to campus, or find directions using the street address "114 Central Avenue, Ithaca, NY 14853" on Google Maps.

By bus

Ithaca's TCAT bus service stops at Milstein Hall and Goldwin Smith Hall, short walks from the Museum. Visit the TCAT website for more information and schedules.

iPhone users can download the free Ride14850 app from 14850 Magazine to route you from your current location (using GPS) to the Museum by suggesting routes for right now or a future time. (Note: Ride14850 is not affiliated with TCAT).

By foot

The Museum is located on the top of Libe Slope, across the Arts Quad. Click here for a campus map.
