Zoom meeting

Bill Benson, Class of 1972, is a nationally known portrait and landscape artist. This three-part series (Tuesdays, March 2, 9, & 16) will focus on drawing the human figure, each session building on the last. Learn about anatomy, proportion, gesture, and shading in three dimensions using provided examples of Greek or Roman statuary and classical drawings. Participants will focus on some of the large muscle groups, basic bone structure, and how they interact, looking at postures, gestures, and proportion. No previous drawing experience is necessary but the classes are recommended for ages 13 and up.

Free registration is required to attend via Zoom; enrollment is limited. Registered students will receive a confirmation email, followed by model images about three days before each session. Students are encouraged to have both hard and soft charcoals or pencils, erasers, and the drawing paper suited to their tools.

Please note that registration is full and we can only accept wait-list registrations (as of February 17, 2021).
